Our ethos at Seven Hills Primary School is at the heart of our provision for pupils with SEND. We are a ‘Place Where Everyone is Valued’ and the children make progress here because of the reasonable adjustments made and the bespoke learning opportunities that are provided by our supportive and enthusiastic staff.
The Code of Practice (2014) states that a pupil is listed as SEND when their learning difficulty or disability calls for special educational provision, that is provision different from or additional to that normally available to pupils of the same age. Our SEND list encompasses the four broad areas of need:
1: Communication and interaction
2: Cognition and learning
3: Social, emotional and mental health
4: Sensory and/or physical needs
These needs are met through our graduated approach, in line with the Code of Practice, which supports our pupils, parents and staff well. The Graduated Approach is a cyclical process of support to accurately identify need, remove barriers to learning and put effective special educational provision in place.
At Seven Hills we work in partnership with a number of agencies
