"A Place Where Everyone is valued"

Spring Service 2026

A Poem for Our Spring Service by Mr Catherall

As we welcome the Spring, it’s time for jubilation,

And our Service today has been a fantastic celebration.

But we recognise this time, there’s been one major change,

Without going to the church, it has seemed a little strange.

Without parents and carers present, we needed to adapt,

So, we’ve recorded today, you could view it on your app!

With technology these days, we can watch things oh so clear,

It actually feels, like our amazing adults are all still here.

‘Because It’s Spring’ was sang out loudly from the heart,

We recognised that winter has taken its depart.

In its place, we have new life springing up all around,

Like the birds in the trees our singing was such a sweet sound.

In the Easter Garden sung of the beauty of the flowers,

We give thanks for this sight along with the sun and the showers.

The daffodils dancing and the colours of the crocus,

When Seven Hills rejoice, we never lose our focus.

To Victorian Times Year 4 took us, through Oliver with a Twist,

Their outstanding performance was not one to be missed.

19th century or now such singing never goes out of fashion

‘Rise like a Phoenix’, was sung with such emotion and such passion,

‘The colours of spring’ sang of how much darkness has gone,

This spring morning Seven Hills pupils, magnificently shone.

Then ‘Golden’ on recorder played expertly by Year 3,

Every note perfectly played, giving us joy and much glee.

The last song was so fitting, ‘Great Day’ sung with such meaning,

Giving every single one of us today, a warm, loving feeling.

Today’s service performance we’re so proud to have seen,

The singing this year was one of the best that there’s been.

Seven Hills we work hard and achieve highly together’

Through winter and spring, whatever the weather.

Thanks to all our school staff and our governors too,

And all of your adults and every child too.

Now before we all go, there’s one last thing to say

Have a really good rest and a great holiday.

And…remember all your homework… but make sure that you find

The time to have fun keeping a healthy body and mind.

Well-done everybody…have a lovely Easter!
