Year 6 have been exploring the phenomena of light. We discovered that light can be refracted using prisms to create a rainbow effect. Different coloured filters were used to investigate the dispersion of white light into its constituent colours. Then, we created Newton’s colour wheels and attached them to motors in a circuit to demonstrate that white light is a mixture of the colours of the rainbow.
